The Canadian Paralympic Committee is committed to giving back to society by fostering athletes and help them pursue their goal of qualifying for the Olympics and to reach the podium.
During the off-season, the CPC makes sure school teachers know how to teach and provide inspiration to families, promoting an active lifestyle across Canada, fully endorsing that everyone has the right to be active, healthy, and included.
We redesigned and continue to maintain the fully accessible website for CPC. We have introduced a lot of storytelling to the different athletes and share their journies. The athlete profile feature was added to understand each athlete to follow and keep up with. For the 2016 RIO Olympics we connected the paralympic website to the games the athletes were participating in, medal counts and more personalization, scheduling bios on athletes and much more!
Part of our accessible digital experience for all initiative includes Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Holland Bloorview is another partner of ours where we have doubled down on a similar type of support by helping others with disabilities. We were extremely proud to have had the opportunity to convey Holland Bloorview's compelling story of their brand through the digital space in a warm, inviting, patient experience.
The Paralympic Games, in our eyes, are the top tier of athletic accomplishment. For us, helping people to realize the competitiveness and the toughness and strength of our para-athletes is extremely important.
